3Ci Sport Flyers Softball Teamhe 3Ci Sport Flyers began life in 1994 as the Harvey Ballbangers and was formed in time for the inaugural Jersey Softball Association League, which began on 11th May that year. The basis of the team was mainly players from the disbanded Fort Regent Cannons, together with new players to the game from Alex Picot and Company.
The Flyers have made a large contribution to the setting up of the Jersey Softball Association and to the continual success of the League. Team members have been an integral part of softball on Jersey since its inception, by taking positions on the Executive Committee, coaching and managing the Island teams, taking development players on and also regularly providing umpires. A number of team members have also represented the Island and the Channel Islands and won Most Valuable Player and other awards over the years.
The Flyers are the last surviving team from the League's first season. The squad includes players who have committed decades to Jersey Softball and new members from rookies to those who have represented UK clubs and Great Britain. Team Members

3Ci Sport Flyers’ season took off in style with a friendly win over Cubs with a final score of 13-6. Both teams met in the sunshine at Les Quennevais on Sunday 15th May 2022 with rain threatening but thankfully never arriving. Flyers took to the field and quickly got their season defence on the go dispatching three Cubs from the first four batters with only the Cubs’ pitcher batting third making it to first. With the bat Flyers’ lead-off hitter and captain Phil Bouchard made it to first followed by a two base hit from Michelle Le Lion. Claudine Snape and Chris Le Lion also hit singles driving in three runs for the innings. Top of 2nd saw cubs introduce four batters with three dispatched and returned to the dugout. In response Flyers bottom order started well with Javier Gomez and Angela Killion both hitting singles. The extra batters Alex Snape and Christine Bouchard did well to load the bases for the loss of one out, but the top of the order couldn’t finish the job and two more outs resulted in just one run scored. In the third Cubs managed to find their gaps and hit four unanswered runs from eight at bats ending the third innings tied at four all. Flyers responded with another two tight fielding innings leaving Cubs stuck on four runs while with the bat in the 4th and 5th Flyers added seven more runs to their total including a home run each for the Snapes! Top of the 6th saw Cubs claw back two but that was the end of their scoring after another shut out in the 7th. Flyers added two to their total in the bottom of the 6th including another Claudine Snape home run and leaving no need to bat out the game. Jo Emblem, Keegan Peterson and Danny Guy made debuts for the Flyers and all contributed with bat and glove. Christine Bouchard also made a long awaited return to the diamond.
