CorefocusX Summer League Awards
This year, we’re rolling out a brand‑new, member‑driven awards system, rebuilt from the ground up. Our aim is to make the celebration more fair, fun, and representative of our whole league.
The updated structure introduces new award categories, a two‑phase nomination and voting process, and a more transparent way to showcase every nominee with photos, bios, and season highlights.
Why We’re Changing Things
Representation
Give every team equal representation within the nominee pool.
Reduce Bias
Reduce any committee level bias and ensure member votes are decisive.
Engagement
Boost league wide engagement through team led nominations.
Inclusivity
Ensure the awards night is more inclusive, exciting and reflective of our community.
Your Vote Matters
Whether you’re nominating a teammate in Phase one or casting your ballot in Phase two, the new system ensures every member has a voice in recognising the players, coaches, and personalities who make our league special.
What’s New This Year
Two‑Phase Voting:
A completely refreshed approach designed to reduce bias and broaden recognition.
Phase 1: Each team votes internally to nominate one player from their team per category, ensuring every team is represented in the overall nominee pool. The top nominees from every team will go onto the second phase of voting.
Phase 2: All members vote across the full nominee pool to determine the league‑wide winners.
New Award Categories:
Alongside our classic MVP, Rookie, and Golden Glove awards, we’re adding fresh categories that celebrate performance, spirit, leadership, and fun moments from across the season.
More Transparency & Visibility:
Every nominee will be presented with a photo, short bio, and season highlight so members can make informed, confident votes.
Bigger Member Voice:
With all voting now fully member‑led, your participation directly shapes who we celebrate at the end of the season.
