| Hello fellow softballers... What a year so far. I would just like to say a huge thanks to you all, as the membership, both Summer League and Corporate League, for putting yourselves out, in a whole list of areas, from helping to organise, to agreeing to try something new. Its down to you all, thats got us to the position we are now in now. 14 Separate teams in 2 separate leagues, and enquiries from far afield about how to join up. On behalf of the sport of Softball, Thank You. Hello fellow softballers... What a year so far. | The Summer League matches started up on May 10th, and the teams have played three matches in all so far, placing CUBS at the top of the table. All the matches have produced some fantastic team and individual play all round, and I have no doubt will continue to produce a few surprises. Keep it going.
The new Corporate League, finished training on Wednesday May 27th, with all 8 teams playing their first competetive matches on Wednesday June 3rd, at Les Quennevais. Of the four matches, there were three wins and one draw, and I have to say, all great to watch. Sanne Group leading the table, with a superior score difference, by three runs. I have a feeling this could be an ever changing list, with a few friendly grudge matches too.
Away from the fields of Les Quennevais, I have to say thanks to Ric Pedro, for co-ordinating the two days at Le Rocquier School, during mid May, at which time several of our seasonairs helped on two mornings to teach the students our sport. It was a great success, with 40 students and their teachers, all taking part, and trying something new. A big thanks to Le Rocquier School for inviting us back for the second year running. Hopefully we'll make it three years in a row. A full report will appear soon on this site.
