Umpire Franck Matthews in action

With the assistance of BASU (British Association of Softball Umpires) the JSA will be holding a 2 day umpires training course this April. The dates of the course are set for Saturday 24th April and Sunday 25th April.
The course is a mixture of classroom and field work. After the two days participants will have enough skills to be able to umpire local games, and possibly games in the UK, if award one of the three grades obtainable for a course of this nature.

Although this course is primarily open to newbie's wishing to help the JSA with its umpiring duties, existing umpires are also encouraged to attend and use it as a refresher, with the option of being recertified. Your attendance will also help the new umpires during group discussions.
