The Jersey Softball Association is introducing a corporate league in 2010 to encourage greater participation at a recreational level for both men and women playing as equals.
Slow-pitch softball is a recreational form of the exciting American sport of baseball played on a diamond with a hard ball delivered under arm. A team consists of 10 players with an equal ratio of male and female players.
The corporate league will commence on Wednesday 2nd June 2010 @ 6.30pm for a period of 8 weeks. All league matches will be played on Wednesday evenings at Les Quennevais Sports Centre. The playing fields are located behind the hockey or cricket pitches.
Training sessions will commence on Wednesday 5th May 2010 @ 6pm for a period of 4 weeks. All training sessions will be held on Wednesday evenings at Haute Vallee School. The playing field is located behind the school building.
A dedicated coach will be assigned to each team to assist with training sessions and league matches.
